learning to live with uncertainty: practical help for uncertain times

Sick of living in lockdown?

Who isn’t, right?

Winter is fast approaching and the coronavirus continues to affect our daily lives.

Whether you’ve had the virus or not, our lives have been turned upside down and you may be feeling uncertain, anxious, exhausted or simply fed up with it all and wishing we could get back to normal life.

As we face the 2nd wave of the pandemic, with frequently changing restrictions and the economic fallout growing daily, our ‘new normal’ still seems some way off.

With so much that we can’t control in the world outside of us, it’s more important than ever that we look after our own mental health.

In my new 4 week online course I’ll equip you with the knowledge & skills to take charge of your emotional wellbeing & help you to navigate the months ahead.

May aim is to help you feel like you can deal with whatever the next few months throws at us, by:

  • Focusing on you and helping you to regain control of your own emotional wellbeing, rather than trying to change & control what’s happening in the external world
  • Helping you to understand your own brain – if you understand it you can manage & tame it
  • Creating a supportive space with plenty of practical tools & tips which are focused on helping you to reduce anxiety, worry, fear & get out of survival mode
  • Being positive & optimistic, whilst being completely grounded in the reality of the situation we’re all in

If it sounds like something that would help you, just click here to sign up.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

  • Why we all fear uncertainty & why people respond differently in a crisis.

  • Why you may be feeling angry about lockdown restrictions, people’s behaviour or political policy & what to do about it

  • Why it’s completely normal that your feelings are all over the place, why you’re feeling sick of it all & craving normality again and how to regain control of your emotions so you feel like you’ve got some control over your life

  • Helpful and healthy coping strategies, how to avoid the winter blues & the one thing that will help strengthen your immunity more than anything else

  • How to plan for the future when everything still feels so uncertain and how you can help to recession proof yourself

Over the 4 weeks, we’ll go from reflecting on 2020 to looking forward to 2021 and beyond.

Here’s what we’ll cover:

  • Week 1: 2020 WTAF?! Making Sense Of The Chaos
  • Week 2: Pandemic Fatigue: Why You’re Feeling Sick Of It All & How Not To
  • Week 3: Winter Is Coming: Preparing For The Long Haul
  • Week 4: Beyond Covid: Who Do You Want To Be?

One final thing. Here’s what this course isn’t:

  • A magic bullet. Hopefully, it goes without saying, but unfortunately, I don’t have all the answers to the questions we have about the pandemic & what will happen. I wish I did!
  • Positive thinking – you’ll find out during the course why I think this harms more than helps. It will, however, have a positive & optimistic yet realistic outlook.
  • A space for complaining, political debate or anger. We all have an opinion about how the crisis has been handled, myself included, and there are already plenty of places to express these opinions on or offline. This course is not one of those places. We will, however, cover how these external factors affect our mental health.
